This episode is an interview with AMTA President-Elect, Jennifer Geiger. In addition to providing leadership in our professional organization, Jennifer has been a business owner since the year 2000 (congratulate her on her 15-year anniversary!) and has specialized in working with older adults for nearly two decades.

Thanks again for this opportunity to provide information, MTR!
Having shared this podcast with Dan Cohen, founder of the Music & MemorySM program, he provided two clarifications which I wanted to post here: Music & MemorySM is a 501(c)3, a non-profit corporation. Also, the mention of “music therapy” in the film “Alive Inside” was made by Dr. Peter Davies, a researcher of Alzheimer’s Disease. This might make us cringe when watching the movie, but also encourages us speak out about what we do as music therapists to educate others.
